An anime adaptation of Hataraku Maou-sama! light novels, produced by White Fox and directed by Naoto Hosoda. The anime has Masahiro Yokotani as the script supervisor and Atsushi Ikariya adapting 029's character designs. Funimation streamed the series as it aired and released it on home video in the summer of 2014.
A second season aired in the summer of 2022, with the cast from the first season reprising their roles. The production studio changed to Studio 2Hz, with Daisuke Tsukushi directing and Masahiro Yokotani returning as script supervisor.[1]
A third season is set to air in the summer of 2023, with the full cast from the previous seasons reprising their roles.
Plot[]
Foiled by a hero when he’s inches away from conquering the world, the devil finds himself in modern-day Tokyo. With no real-world skills to speak of, the devil is forced to make ends meet by flipping burgers at a fast food joint! To stall any further plans of world domination, the hero tracks the devil’s trail and takes on the lowly tasks of a telemarketer.
