Summary[]
In the past, it's revealed that after Satan fled from Ente Isla, the Hero Emilia pursued him to the alternate world.
Back in the present, Emilia demands to know why Mao was working part-time at the Hatagaya MgRonald's, but the astounded Mao instead asks why Emilia was there. Emilia answers that she entered the same gate Mao went through to slay him and then pulls a tiny knife out of her bag, which Mao points out is a cheap 100 yen knife. The revelation embarrasses Emilia, who demands that Mao be quiet, and he then asks if she lost her sword and celestial power too. Unwaivered by Mao's stalling, Emilia tries to attack Mao, but off-screen is stopped by a police officer who takes them back to his station and interrogates them. The officer leaves Emilia visibly upset when he mistakes the two as a couple going through a breakup.
After this, Emilia vows to memorize Mao's address and deal with him soon enough. Though Mao asks for his umbrella back, she states that she disposed of it after she was done with it, much to Mao's dismay. With that, Emilia leaves Mao warning him to watch his back from now on.
The following day, Emilia, now going by Emi, is revealed to be a call service lady for the Docodemo Company. On her way home from work, Emi purchases toilet paper and some dinner for herself. At home, Emi watches tv and, as she does, becomes upset that she'll one day end up like her adversary Mao.
As Shiro and Mao enjoyed their meal, Emi rang their bell and demanded entrance into their home. In "retaliation", Shiro locked the door and asked Mao what they should do as Emi banged on their doorway. Mao then confesses that he ran into her the other day and forgot to inform him about his encounter with her. He explains the details of his encounter with Emi to Shiro, and eventually, Emi is allowed inside the place. Immediately she chastises the place and the food Mao and Shiro had prepared for dinner.
When asked if Emi came to the alternate world alone, Emi reveals that the high priest Olba had tried to follow her, but didn't make it through the portal in time. Mao then details that he hasn't been working part-time and planning to conquer Japan. His goal was to rank up enough to become a full-time MgRonald's employee by working his way up the ladder allowing him to conquer Japan and Ente Isla thereafter.
Disheartened by what she has learned, Emi leaves, but informs them that with her current power, she can kill Mao; however, if she does, she'd be unable to return to their original world. Furthermore, Emi gives her full name to the two and learns their names from their name placates outside and chastises Mao's given name.
The next day, while Emi calls it a day at her job in the locker room, her co-worker Rika invites her to dinner, but she declines, making her believe that she's finally found a boyfriend. To that comment, Emi vehemently denies it.
Afterward, Emi visits Mao's house, where he and Shiro are out on an "important quest" to purchase eggs on sale. Again, Emi would stalk the two as they headed to a play involving "baths". It led Emi to believe they were off to commit a blood bath, but they were trying to head to a bathhouse before it closed. One last time, Emi stalks the two in their home, where Mao experiments mixing cucumbers with honey, makes it taste slightly like watermelon.
Eventually, Mao is visited by Emi at work and demand that he meets her where they first encountered each other in that world. On the other hand, Mao's interaction with Emi was entirely in character with his worker persona. After Emi leaves, Chiho asks about Mao's relationship with Emi, and he answers that they have a history with each other, which irks Chiho. Believing Mao and Emi are in a relationship, Chiho asks Mao if he felt the earthquake the other day, which Mao claims he did, but his roommate Shiro didn't. Chiho was surprised to hear that Mao had a roommate and thought it was someone he was intimate with, but Mao mistook Chiho's question concerning the earthquake. Chiho admits that it hit her home somewhat hard and knocked down several possessions of hers. Mao also clarifies to Chiho that his roommate is a friend that lives with him to help him financially survive. Hearing that greatly relieved Chiho.
Later that night, Mao met with Emi, who asked if he'd be alright staying in that world forever. Emi then lists off several findings she's deduced from her observations in the past few days of him. However, Mao vows to conquer Japan one day, and after he proclaims this, his bike is attacked by an unknown assailant. This forces the two to flee the scene, and after they get to a safe distance, Mao parts ways with Emi, only to be confronted by her in front of his apartment complex. She sheepishly asks to spend the night there, and Mao allows it, much to Shiro's dismay.
That night, Mao receives a text from an unknown person that more earthquakes will occur.
